Behavior Management: When Time-Out & Stickers Don't Work with Catherine Swanson Cain is a course designed for educators, parents, and child care providers that teaches the common reasons behind young children's misbehavior, how to effectively handle misbehavior, and to identify common behaviors in young children.
This course is self-paced (course begins on student's own timetable). It is required that the student post a message in the Class Forum, submit class polls that are associated with each of the 5 lessons, post any questions or comments about child behavior to the professor and other students in the Class Forum, and if taking this class for certification of any kind, take the class final after ending lesson. Coursework consists of completing about 10 central lessons with attached documents, 4 related assignments and a number of class polls and netlinks for additional research. No grading policy will be implemented. Students who strive for course completion or other certified documentation might achieve several offered certificates according to attendance and participation.
Instructor Catherine Swanson Cain has a Ph.D. Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and Administration who has over twenty years of experience in working in the field of early childhood/special education.
