  3. Standing-On-Stake - Inspired by the natural power and beauty of a tree, the Standing-on-stake is known for its ability to promote the redistribution of blood throughout the body.
  4. Guidelines for the Practice of QiGong - Simple Do's and Dont's in the Establishing of your QiGong Practice. The Natural Standing Form and the Energizing Breath.
  5. The 8 Movements - This lesson describes the benefits of each of the 8 QiGong movements. Pictures show how to correctly execute each movement.

Class Description:

Discover 8 basic movements of QiGong that will help to build and balance your body's energy system and promote health and fitness in your life. QiGong breath practices will help to release stress and anxiety as it increases your concentration. QiGong will help to keep your mind alert, active and replenished with oxygen. In China, QiGong is used as a method to help fight and prevent cancer.

QiGong, (pronounced 'Chee Gung')comes from the word 'Qi' meaning Energy and 'Gong' meaning concentrated work. Loosely translated, QiGong is 'Concentrated Energy Work'. The practice of QiGong has long been known for its restorative health benefits, toning the immune system, and building balance and stamina in the body.

This particular course will involve the 8 movements of Pal Dan Gum. This set of 8 easy to use movements will help to strengthen your body as a whole. Students will see improvements in their posture alignments (back pains will diminish), Flexibility will increase (you may actually touch your toes!), and your stamina will be increased. Students of QiGong enjoy higher energy levels and stamina.
